Effective date: October 18, 2026
Pocket Trip is operated by Soft Signals Lab Inc., incorporated in British Columbia, Canada, with its business address at 6333 Silver Ave, Burnaby, BC V5H 0C3, Canada (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information when you use Pocket Trip at https://mytrippocket.com.
Privacy contact: support@mytrippocket.com
1. About Pocket Trip
Pocket Trip is a private, personal travel organizer. You enter information about your trips so you can view your plans in one place, organized by trip and by day.
During our current pilot, Pocket Trip is free. We do not sell travel services, make bookings, or provide travel recommendations.
2. Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account using an email address and password, we collect your email address and optional display name. Our authentication provider stores your password in hashed form.
If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile picture, and the authentication information needed to sign you in. Signing in with Google does not give Pocket Trip access to your email inbox.
Information from Google
If you choose Sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us. We use this information only to create your account, sign you in and show your account details to you. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or share it except with the service providers in section 5 that help us run Pocket Trip. You can remove Pocket Trip’s access at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions, and you can ask us to delete the information we received at support@mytrippocket.com. Pocket Trip’s use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Trip information
We store information you choose to enter, including:
- Trip names, dates, cities, and notes.
- Airlines, flight numbers, airports, and flight details.
- Hotel names and addresses, check-in and check-out times, and room details.
- Booking reference codes and booking links.
Your entries may contain information about other travelers. Please provide their information only when you have permission or another lawful basis to do so.
Support communications
If you contact us, we receive your email address, message, and any information or attachments you include.
Technical information
Pocket Trip uses session cookies or equivalent browser storage to authenticate you and keep you signed in. Our hosting provider also generates standard server logs when you access the Service. These logs may include the time of a request, the page requested, the response status, error details, and request information such as your IP address and browser type.
We do not use advertising cookies, analytics tools, or tracking cookies during the current pilot.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Create and authenticate your account.
- Save, organize, retrieve, and display your trip information.
- Send account messages, including sign-up confirmations and password resets.
- Respond to support and privacy requests.
- Maintain the Service, investigate technical issues, and protect against unauthorized access or misuse.
- Meet applicable legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, share it for targeted advertising, or use trip information for marketing.
The current pilot does not use AI to parse or analyze your trip information.
4. Private accounts
Accounts and trips are private. Pocket Trip currently has no feature for publishing trips or sharing them with other users.
Private storage does not mean that information is inaccessible to the companies operating the Service. We and our service providers process information as needed to provide, secure, and support Pocket Trip, subject to applicable restrictions.
5. Service providers and other disclosures
We use the following providers:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, account authentication, and storage |
| Cloudflare | Website hosting, domain services, and support email forwarding |
| Resend | Account emails, including confirmations and password resets |
| Optional Sign in with Google, and the email inbox that receives support messages |
Providers receive or process the information needed for their functions. Identity providers also handle information under their own privacy policies.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to valid legal requests, or where reasonably necessary to protect rights, security, or safety.
If our business is involved in a merger, acquisition, or transfer, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law and any required notice.
6. Where information is processed
Our primary Supabase hosting region is East US (Ohio), United States.
Cloudflare delivers the website through its global network, so your requests may be processed in data centres in many countries, including Canada and the United States. Resend and Google may process information in the United States. Privacy laws in those locations may differ from those where you live, and information may be accessible to local authorities under applicable law.
We rely on our providers’ contractual data protection commitments when information is processed outside Canada. Contact us at support@mytrippocket.com for more information.
7. Retention and deletion
We retain account and trip information while your account remains active, unless you delete it or request deletion, subject to the exceptions below.
You can edit and delete trips and entries within Pocket Trip. An in-app account deletion feature is planned. Until it is available, contact support@mytrippocket.com to request account deletion. We will delete your account, trip records, and authentication records within 7 days of verifying your request.
We do not maintain separate restorable backups during the current pilot. Our providers may keep short-term copies for disaster recovery and security under their own retention schedules. We may retain limited information where necessary to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, or investigate security incidents, for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes.
Server logs are retained for up to 7 days. Support correspondence is retained for as long as needed to handle your request and for up to 12 months afterwards.
8. Security
We use HTTPS to protect information in transit. Database access controls are designed to restrict each user’s access to their own records. Our authentication provider stores passwords in hashed form.
Password hashing does not mean that trip information is anonymous or hashed. Pocket Trip stores trip information in a form that allows it to be retrieved and displayed to you.
No system can guarantee absolute security. Please protect your login credentials and avoid entering unnecessary sensitive information, such as payment card details or passport numbers.
9. Your choices and privacy rights
You can edit and delete your trip information through the Service.
Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
Send requests to support@mytrippocket.com. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
You may also have the right to complain to your local privacy regulator. Contact us for information about the authority relevant to your request.
10. Adults only
Pocket Trip is intended for users aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly offer accounts to children under 18.
If you believe a child has created an account, contact support@mytrippocket.com so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
11. Planned features
We are considering file attachments, booking email forwarding, assistant integrations, Sign in with Apple, and an iPhone app with offline storage.
These features are not part of the current pilot described in this policy. Before introducing features that change how personal information is handled, we will update this policy, provide relevant notices, and obtain consent where required.
12. Changes to this policy
We will update the effective date when this policy changes. For material changes, we will provide a prominent notice within Pocket Trip or notify you by email, as appropriate. Where required, we will obtain consent before using existing information for a new purpose.
